I'm Gerald Kotzian, a Cycling Austria certified Mountain Bike Guide, qualified bicycle mechatronics technician and founder of GKMTB Touren e.U.
What started as a personal passion for trails, bikes, and nature has grown into a cozy Bike Base in western Vienna – the perfect place for guided tours, rentals, and professional bike service.
I offer customised E-MTB and MTB tours for beginners, leisure riders, and experienced bikers. It’s all about enjoying nature, sharing the ride, and having fun together. We always stay on officially marked routes and trails of Vienna Woods.
From relaxed scenic tours with a hut stop, to day rides across the Vienna Woods lookouts, or skills training sessions – and of course expert repair and maintenance for your bike – we’ve got you covered.
My Story
Before turning my passion into a profession, I worked for many years in the software industry – a world of logic, precision, and technology. Mountain biking became my balance: movement, nature, and freedom.
Over time, this passion grew into GKMTB Touren e.U. , combining guided tours, rentals, skills training, and professional bike service..
To strengthen my technical expertise, I completed training as a qualified bicycle mechatronics ensuring that every bike I guide or service is in top condition.
Besides biking music has always been another big part of my life – I’m also active as a musician and chairman of pro-vo_aktiona cultural association running a music school in Vienna. - Whether through music or mountain biking, I believe in one thing above all: bringing people together and creating meaningful experiences. That's what GKMTB wants to achieve.
